As a resident, I want to see the last 5 inputs of the vitals that I put in so that I can easily see how my vitals may have fluctuated over time
</aside>
Research goals
- Understand what residents think and feel when they view their past vitals
- how will residents take away trends from viewing their vital history?
- are residents looking to compare past entries across different vitals? (eg. historical blood pressure vs weight vs oxygen etc)
- do residents know what to look for when given a list of their previous vitals?
- can they find outliers/irregularities themselves?
- what feedback or language makes residents feel in-control of their health?
- Understand the best way to maximize space and optimize the vitals viewing experience on a screen for residents
- Define common accessibility constraints that can influence their viewing experience
- tactile constraints
- visibility constraints
- How do residents currently approach entering their vitals?
- do they use the camera feature more, or text input more?
- Determine appropriate calls to action for residents to act on following the viewing of their past vitals
Feature goals
- Enable residents to see a simple collective summation of their vitals and get feedback as to how they’re trending
- Provide residents with vitals insights to develop actions that lead to a positive response and management of their health
- Create consistent documentation visibility for the residents’ care providers (Eg. physicians, family members, etc)
Hypothesis
- A list view may be the most appropriate to allow residents to be able to quickly see that and they're going to visually see which days are higher or lower
- We can find relationships between residents’ wellness check-ins and their vitals irregularities
Interview Logistics
Materials
